The Swedish Model

In Sweden the selection process is handled by six selected partners, each administrating a qualification round. Each such qualification round will result in 7 submissions. All submitted entries must adhere to the special criteria drawn up for the competition, and also include a video “Seven minutes, seven slides”. Particular emphasis and attention will be put on which Global Goal the entry is aligning with, and how it is integrated into the business model. The Unicorn of Tomorrow panel will evaluate all 42 submissions, plus an additional 7 entries from the Wild Card category. From the total of 49 entries, the panel will eventually select seven outstanding startups and fly the representatives to the Swedish Final Event.

The first Unicorn of Tomorrow Swedish final event will take place at the World Expo in Dubai, at the Swedish pavilion, February 19, 2022. The winner will then go on to represent Sweden in the global finale.
